| Barbara Gamble is a Canadian painter who explores the way in which a painting can both depict an image and represent the process of painting. The subject matter of her art ranges from the vistas of fields, forests and waters to a plant's smallest, new leaves. Using waxes, pigments and oils her paintings are created by applying layer upon layer of coloured waxes onto canvas, wood or metal surfaces. |
