| For more than 25 years Steve Miller has explored the intersections of art, technology and science. Since 1992 he applied new medical imaging technologies to the millennium-old genre of portraiture, employing the internal vistas and the abstract symbols of medical nomenclature to suggest the mysteries of individual identity. A particularly well known 1993 3genetic portrait2 of the art collector Isabel Goldsmith has been widely exhibited in the travelling exhibition 3Paradise Now2 which opened at Exit Art in New York, 2000.
